Terms of Service — Vimux Finance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vimux Finance application ("the App"), developed by Vinsoft Technologies ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the App Is

Vimux Finance is a personal financial management tool: it records, organizes, and analyzes financial information that you provide or that is captured on your device. The App does not hold, move, or transfer money. All actual money movement happens outside the App on services such as M-Pesa, operated by their respective providers under their own terms.

2. Not Financial Advice

Information presented by the App — including budgets, projections, health scores, calculators, and any coaching or suggestion features — is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Consult a qualified professional before making significant financial choices.

3. Your Data and Responsibility

• Your data belongs to you. It is stored on your device, and — only if you enable Cloud Sync — in a private cloud database row tied to your account.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your device, PIN, and sign-in credentials.
• Auto-captured transactions are best-effort interpretations of provider notifications; you should verify balances against official statements. The App's records are not an official statement of any financial institution.
• Back up your data (Settings → Export Backup) before uninstalling or switching devices.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to reverse-engineer it, using it to infringe others' rights, or using it in violation of applicable law.

5. Subscriptions and Pricing

The App is currently offered free of charge during its launch period. If paid plans are introduced, their pricing and terms will be clearly presented before any charge, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.

6. Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We work to keep the App reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vinsoft Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including financial decisions made based on information the App displays, or loss of data where backups were available but not used.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
